`0.25.0` is the oldest platform release these public notes cover. Earlier history is not documented here.

It is no longer the right [compatibility floor](/docs/ship/versioning-and-compat) for a **new** package: build against 0.27.0 or later, which is where the extension host lives and where `ICatalogProvider` settled.

If your app or package targets a version older than 0.25.0, [contact Appbrew](/docs/start/getting-help) to plan the move — newer releases assume the 0.25 baseline.
